A "conversation" with Atticus...

Franny has something to say too!

Atticus is repeating EVERYTHING. (Better watch what we say!) New words include pancake, waffle, cracker, and chapstick.

The Ladybug went in for her 2 month appointment this week. She was 11lbs, 3oz and 23 1/2 inches tall. That is in, like, the hundredth percentile for 2 month olds for height. She is a very tall baby, but since she's our child I'm sure that will slow down before long. Here's her precious face:

Today Atticus figured out to shake his head "no" in combination with another word. (Pointing at a picture of a baby and shaking his head while saying "Franny" for "That's not Franny," and looking to see if Craig was home, and then shaking his head saying "no Daddy.")

Oh, and this is bad, I think. We have a little doll laying around that Atticus hasn't really played with at all. Today he picks it up, and what do you think he does? Give it kisses? Pretend to feed it or rock it or otherwise display love and affection? No, he starts patting/beating it saying "shhh! shhh! shhh!" as loud as he can. Franny actually doesn't actually cry that much at all, but apparently it has made quite an impression on him...

The Doodlebug is now a year and a half old. At his 18 month appointment, he was 24lbs and 33" tall.

And Franny is two months old already...
